8th International Conference on Multifunctional, Hybrid and Nanomaterials

International Conference on Multifunctional, Hybrid and Nanomaterials

Join us for the eighth edition of this major conference

Expert plenary and keynote lectures, together with focussed featured talks by invited speakers, will be supplemented by contributed talks and large poster sessions plus an exhibition focussing on the following topics:

- Biohybrids, biomaterials and biological materials - Functional hybrid nanomaterials, nanocomposites and their applications - Functional porous materials - Energy and sustainability

Previous delegates have said:

"Great conference. Well-managed, great opportunity to meet and share research findings with experts and colleagues from many different fields and countries."

Energy, the environment and human health have emerged as strategic priorities not only in research but in all aspects of our lives. Hybrid materials have already demonstrated good promise in addressing and offering solutions in each of these priority areas.

The main objective of this large interdisciplinary conference is to bring together, at a truly international level, people with shared interests in hybrid materials, including:

  • Polymer chemists, physicists and engineers

  • Biomaterials chemists, physicists and engineers

  • Organic chemists

  • Inorganic chemists

  • Solid state chemists

  • Sol-gel chemists

  • Composites scientists

  • Colloid chemists and physicists

  • Zeolite, meso- and microporous materials scientists

  • Broad nano- and materials scientists

The conference will start on Monday 3 March 2025 and finish on Thursday 6 March 2025. Each day will start with a Plenary Lecture followed by 4 parallel sessions focusing on the following topics:

Symposium A: Biohybrids, biomaterials and biological materials Topics include bioinspired and biomimetic materials, biomineralisation, biosensors, biocatalysts and biotemplates, wearables, green materials, synthetic/biopolymer hybrids, nanomedicine and advanced implants, drug delivery, tissue engineering, 3D bioprinting, dynamic and living materials, 3D in vitro models and organoids, active materials and robotics.

Symposium B: Functional hybrid nanomaterials, nanocomposites and their applications (this symposium will run in two streams) Topics include sol-gel derived hybrids, functional hybrid nanoparticles and nanotubes, functional nanostructures, nanoheterostructures, self-organisation of nanoobjects, nanocomposites, glassy composites; energy, environmental and structural hybrids; photonic materials, applications and modern methodologies for advanced materials characterization.

Symposium C: Functional porous materials Topics include zeolites, MOFs, COFs, mesoporous materials, foams, macrocellular solids, hierarchically structured materials, clathrates, membranes, porous polymeric systems, and porous carbon materials.

Symposium D: Energy and sustainability Topics include renewable energy, energy storage solutions, sustainable infrastructure and build environments, smart grid technologies, the future of transportation, climate change mitigation strategies.
